In 2009, after the success of our first Twig X Hawk litter, we decided to breed Onyx to Hawk as well. Onyx
produced 10 beautiful babies, 3 boys and 7 girls. She was an excellent mother and her puppies proved to be
very confident, outgoing and adventurous little clowns. They have gone on to a variety of homes as pet
dogs, hunting dogs, and competitors.
In 2010, Onyx was bred to our Ruger, and we were delighted with 6 black babies in mid-July. These puppies
have taken on the best of both parents and are kind, intelligent, dogs who LOVE to retrieve! They are showing
their talents as pets, hunting dogs and competitors in agility and hunt tests. One puppy works as an avalanche
Search and Rescue dog in Fernie. We kept a puppy named "
Spider" back for evaluation.  Here are the
puppies  we originally knew as the "Rockstars".
In 2011 we repeated the successful Onyx X Ruger breeding. This was Onyx's last litter before she retired to a
life of luxury as a pet in Salmon Arm. Her final litter of 4 found homes across BC as pets and hunting dogs, and
are a delightful, well-mannered bunch that we knew as the 'Rocks'. Here they are:
